Why Saint Brendan

The mission of St. Brendan Catholic School, in partnership with parents and our parish community, embraces a Catholic Identity centered on the Eucharist to empower our students to act as Disciples of Christ, use their God-given gifts in service to the Church and community, and achieve academic excellence.
There are many reasons to have your child attend St. Brendan Catholic School. We are the only Catholic elementary school within the Northshore School District. We provide a safe and nurturing environment in which your child will develop a strong foundation for his/her Catholic faith and achieve academic excellence.  We are accredited through Western Catholic Educational Association and have been awarded the highest term for accreditation for a third time in 2016. St. Brendan's is honored to provide quality Catholic education for over 55 years to the community.
Our families come from Bothell and 14 neighboring cities; including Brier, Duvall, Everett, Kenmore, Kirkland, Lake Stevens, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Redmond, Snohomish, and Woodinville. Our student body is 97% Catholic and we accept non-Catholic students on a space-available basis. We are a co-educational school with an enrollment of approximately 260 students. There is one classroom per grade and we welcome students from Preschool through Eighth Grade. Our classroom average is around 24 students. Families are attracted to St. Brendan Catholic School because of the strong Catholic values, our excellent reputation, and our competent and highly-qualified teachers and administrators.
St. Brendan Catholic School Teachers provide individual attention to your child while meeting the needs of the whole class. Each classroom is staffed with either a part time or full time teacher or classroom aide. All teachers hold valid Washington State teaching certificates, have Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees, or have obtained their Masters Degree. Your student will consistently score well above the national percentile in their knowledge about the Catholic faith and are scoring above-average on standardized testing.
We recognize that student success starts in the home and here at St. Brendan's, we are blessed with involved and active parents. Our families willingly make the commitment of time, talent, and treasure to the school and parish community. St. Brendan families carry on the tradition of creating a warm and fun school environment through the Parent Club.  The majority of our families exceed the parent requirements and are involved in our school on regular basis. St. Brendan Catholic School recognizes the commitment that families make in choosing high quality Catholic education for their child. The outcome of this partnership is a respectful, supportive, and welcoming school community.
