Strategic Plan 2021-2026

Mission Statement
The mission of St. Brendan Catholic School, in partnership with parents and our parish community, embraces a Catholic Identity centered on the Eucharist to empower our students to act as Disciples of Christ, use their God-given gifts in service to the Church and community, and achieve academic excellence.

Catholic Identity
St. Brendan Catholic School will maintain and enhance its Catholic identity by reflecting all teachings of the Catholic Church, enabling all parents and staff to understand, respect and model these teachings, empowering our students to act as Disciples of Christ.

Community
St. Brendan Catholic School will design and implement collaborative pathways that unify and strengthen our school and parish community and expand our outreach to our partner parishes and neighboring Catholic schools to further the mission of the Church.

Curriculum
St. Brendan Catholic School will continue to offer a comprehensive Catholic education by implementing curricula that infuses Catholic values and aligns with current best practices and standards across all academic disciplines and grade levels, with a focus on developing critical thinking skills.

Advancement
St. Brendan Catholic School will design, document, implement and fund a clear 5-year Advancement Master Plan to integrate fundraising, marketing and community engagement which includes additional staffing and improved
structure.

Enrollment
Saint Brendan Catholic School will create, invest in and implement a comprehensive marketing, admission, enrollment, and retention plan to advance the mission and ensure financial viability.

Facilities
Saint Brendan Catholic School will ensure a safe, clean, educationally supportive, and cost efficient campus by establishing a comprehensive facilities plan based on an independent professional assessment of current conditions. This plan should consider: building code & standards, population/enrollment growth, emerging technology needs, and future revenue generation opportunities.

Governance
St. Brendan Catholic School will improve the visibility of the School Commission, as an advisory council, by inviting school and parish community involvement, clarifying roles and responsibilities of its members, and increasing transparency of the Commission’s work and Committees.

Staffing
St. Brendan Catholic School will attract and retain Catholic talent to empower students to become disciples of Christ and achieve academic excellence. We will achieve this by creating a comprehensive career development program that is informed by national Catholic benchmarks, staff evaluations and exit interviews to enrich each staff member’s vocational journey. We will establish and implement a rewards and recognition model that is inclusive of compensation which is competitive with regional Catholic schools.

Technology
St. Brendan Catholic School will develop, implement and fund a cohesive, revolving 3 year hardware and software technology plan to ensure the continued growth and measured high proficiency in technology for students and staff, and to optimize talent and resources available.
