Read silent reading book. As you read write down some of the indefinite pronouns & sentences using them on a piece of paper. Find between five and seven examples of the author using indefinite pronouns. It may take several pages of conscious reading and looking to notice them. Be careful that the indefinite pronoun is not written immediately before a noun. In these cases the pronoun is being is used as an adjective. An example is 'many people'.
Make sure you have completed the Teams work for the short story, "The All American Slurp".

In the literature book, read the story "The All American Slurp" on pages 159-166. After reading the story complete/make a T-chart for theme and plot. Before reading the story, answer the question of "What kinds of things would an immigrant need to learn when coming to a new country? Rank your answers from the most important to the least important. After reading the story, answer the question "How did the character change in the course of the story?" Answer this question about the main character and the secondary characters -- the Lin family.
On pg. 167, answer the questions #5, 6, 7, and 9. Lastly, discuss the statement: immigrants to the United States should give up their traditional customs and take on the customs of their new country. Do you agree or disagree; why or why not. Present rational, though out reasons or research to support your opinion. Work due on Thursday, 5/21/2020.
