Mental Checklist Homework - ERVERY DAY FOR 3 WEEKS!

In class today, students read pages 118 to 124 learning that by doing a Mental Checklist every day before school, students will remember all of their material, become more responsible, and independent.  Students chose one morning activity (eating breakfast, showering, brushing teeth, getting dressed, etc.) to go through a Mental Checklist to ensure that they have packed all needed items in their backpack before school.  The Homework Assignment is to do the Mental Checklist EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT 3 WEEKS.  Students are expected to report back on Wednesday, April 15th on the effectiveness of the daily Mental Checklist.

Homework - The Planner AKA Calendaring System

(1) Decide and implement your own PLANNER or CALENDARING SYSTEM - where you have written down (1) important school-wide dates and events, (2) class events such as tests & quizzes, and (3) personal events such as family birthdays, sports games, etc.  See page 42 in your SOS textbook for more information.

As discussed in class, you have at least 3 options:  you can buy a calendar from the dollar store, you can print out calendar sheets, or you can turn you Assignment Book into a dual purpose Assignment Book & Calendaring System by writing the dates for the rest of the school year into your blue assignment book.

(2) Come prepared to show Mrs. Fogliani your calendaring system next week in SOS Class.
