Meet Mrs. Carlton
I love teaching first grade at St. Brendan Catholic School. I am committed to guiding and nurturing my students to help them become the best version of themselves by educating the whole child; mind, body and spirit.
I am a cradle Catholic and Washington native, born and raised in Gig Harbor. I attended Western Washington University and graduated with a BaEd in Speech Communications. At the beginning of my teaching career, I taught in the primary grades for 5 years, all in public schools. I left teaching for 22 years to raise my three sons, now young adults. My family and I have been members of St. Brendan Church since 2000, and all three of our children graduated from St. Brendan. This is my 6th year teaching at St. Brendan Catholic School!
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy walking, gardening, hiking, cooking, baking, and teaching first grade! My Catholic faith is very important to me.
