Welcome
Kem Deehr (7th Grade Homeroom)
I’m very excited to return to St. Brendan's! Prior to St. Brendan, I taught middle and high school math in Virginia, Tennessee, and California. I also worked as a Certified Public Accountant for 10 years. I received a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from Kent State University and my Teaching Certification from Virginia Wesleyan University.
I live in Bothell with my husband, John, and our two children. Eli (13) is an avid gymnast and Reagan (11) loves to dance. John retired from the Navy in 2016 after 30 years of service. He is, now, a Jr. ROTC instructor at Liberty High School. Cadra (a dog rescue from Iran) happily joined our family last year. (o:
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy dancing, billiards, cross-stitching, Sudoku, and mysteries (reading, watching, & solving). Three interesting facts about me:
- Got married on my birthday
- Wanted to be a math teacher since I was six years old
- Visited 49 out of 50 states (only missing North Dakota)
