Social Studies 8th grade (Period 7) Assignments

On Thursday at 1pm, we will have a mandatory whole class zoom meeting to discuss these current events. Your attendance and participation in this meeting will be your grade. I encourage you to do some of your one research on this topic before the meeting. Your voice matters, and I want to give you a platform to share your thoughts and feelings. All thoughts and opinions are welcome and will be heard respectfully … each of your voices matters. What ideas, and solutions do you have? What change do you demand? What do you want your country to become? I also want you to read an editorial from the LA times by kareem abdul-jabbar, a civil rights icon, on what is going on, and why it is important to stand up for Black lives and Black rights. It is included in this email.
