6th Grade Student Organizational Skills (SOS) (Period 1) Assignments

Complete worksheet page 138 for homework -  choose a Split and Tackle Plan OR a Chunk & Block Plan to complete the long term project described on page 138.  Write in the calendar provided when you will complete all tasks to complete the Long Term Project.   This must be completed tonight and turned in to Mr. Langston tomorrow morning (12/9/2021).

2.  Continue to do your MENTAL CHECKLIST every school day

For the next 2 weeks, on school days, do your Mental Checklist DAILY based on the plan you made in class today. 

You will be required to report back on how using the Mental Checklist has been going when we meet again on Dec 1st.

(1)  Read "The Study Bud" (pages 50-59) in your workbook to prepare for our next lesson

(2)  As demonstrated in class today, label your planner with the dates throughout the school year - September to June.  (If you happen to run out of pages in your planner for June, don't worry, I'll provide you with extra pages for June at our next class, if needed.)

(3)  Write Important dates in your planner:

*  School dates (Picture Day, end of 1st trimester, Christmas Concert, etc.) - use the School Calendar handed out today  in class.

* Class dates (Homework & Project due dates, field trips, etc.)

* Personal dates (Sports practice, Mom's birthday, etc.)
