2. Give some examples of TISSUE.
3. Give some examples of ORGANISMS.
4. What are the levels of organization… IN ORDER.
5. How are STRUCTURE and FUNCTION related?  (PLEASE read up on this!)
6. Give an example of how MULTIPLE organ systems work together (for example: circulatory and respiratory)
7. What is BLOOD an example of (which level or organization)?  How do you know this?
8. Again, know how the circulatory system and respiratory system work together

10. Understand (and be able to describe) how different types of cells in the human body are different in terms of their structure/function.

Please remember that your Invention Convention Design Proposal is due no later than 1/28/22.  This due date is extremely important so please begin working on this step Now.  1) You will sketch your design idea on the template page that I gave you, 2) you will have a parent/guardian sign the portion on the back, and 3) you will type a one page, double-spaced paper (including a heading) answering the questions that I gave you on the back (don't bother writing the answers on the back; those questions are meant as a guide for how to structure your paper). 

 

According to the Invention Convention instructions, "Once you have decided what you are going to build, you are going to create a detailed (and very neat) sketch of how your invention works that should fill up a piece of regular printer/copier paper (no larger!).  In your sketch, all parts, materials, and measurements should be clearly labeled.  In addition, you will staple a typed one page (MLA format) design idea description to your sketch.  Your idea paper will tell me the purpose of your invention, why you chose to build this invention, and how you will build it."

As a reminder, your Invention Convention Project Proposal is due no later than tomorrow at the beginning of class (this applies to the students who have not yet submitted their proposals; 8^th graders can email me this).  You must submit the following three items all at one time:  1) sketch your design on the graph paper Very, Very neatly/detailed, 2) type a one page, double-spaced paper Answering the questions on the back in a nice, professional paper, and 3) obtain a signature on the bottom “Parent Signature Section.”  I am attaching the packet to this email in case you can’t find it.  As of right now, all proposals that I have are already entered into PowerSchool so please check the feedback I left you (if there is no score, that means I do not have your proposal).  I believe in each of you So much, and I can’t wait to see you knock this project out of the park!
