Dear St. Brendan School Families and Alumni,

As I reflect on the past school year, one of my favorite bible verses comes to mind: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.

During this school year there were many times the path did not always appear straight. However, upon further reflection, there were many noteworthy accomplishments that always seemed to bring the path back around. We began the year by hosting a fun-run generating nearly $8,500.00 which is being used for a new remodeling project. The next major step came with departmentalizing our junior high. This provided an improved platform for delivering top quality instruction for our sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Our auction was once again a tremendous success and further demonstrates how committed our parent base is in helping the school maintain high standards. Thanks to the generosity of this community, we were also able to support eight families with more than $36,000.00 in tuition assistance. And through it all, we completed a successful accreditation. The path was made straight.

What I have taken away from this year is a sense the St. Brendan Catholic School families and alumni are committed and dedicated to creating a nurturing and caring environment for our students. We have many exciting things to come in the 2016-2017 school year. The biggest change for next year will be moving our Preschool and Pre-kindergarten programs into the main school building. We will introduce many new initiatives designed to improve student learning by assisting those who need a little extra support while offering enrichment activities for those needing more challenge. Weekly Masses will include students in first through eighth grade. All school mass will continue once a month to include prekindergarten and kindergarten students.

It is my sincerest hope to always be a faith-filled leader who helps facilitate a school environment which supports ALL students to meet the mission and vision of St. Brendan Catholic School. I look ahead to the 2016-2017 school year with great anticipation of what’s to come and can truly say I am blessed to be the principal at St. Brendan Catholic School. Thank you all for your support, encouragement, and continued prayers.
