Welcome to the SOS Class - Student Organizational Skills!The SOS Class is an introduction to basic work management and organizational skills you'll need to do well in middle school.The benefits of being an organized student include:* Better Grades* Less Stress* More Free Time* Boost to Self-Confidence7th grade will take the SOS Class 2nd trimester - 2nd period on Wednesdays from 9:20-9:59 - in Mr. Johnson's roomWeekly lessons in organizational skills will include: organizing a binder, using a planner, tips for working with others on a group project, self-advocating with teachers, note-taking skills, writing skills, etc.

1. Organize your BINDER in the "Goof Proof" method.
2. Add dates to your PLANNER throughout June.
3. Write homework, tests, quizzes, and project due dates in your planner each day.
4. Include school events like free dress days, spirit days, student store dates, field trips, school holidays, etc. in your planner.
5. BONUS - Include personal dates in your planner - sports practices, sporting events, doctor or dentist appointments, dances, etc.
6. EXTRA BONUS - Write the special dress-up themes for each day of Catholic School's Week in your planner.
7. Come prepared for a BINDER and PLANNER CHECK next Wednesday, January 15th.
