Read, review, study the power point for lesson 15.  This is about writing introductions to chapters and/or books  that are compelling (have an irresistible force and drive forward) and draw a reader in and keep him until the conclusion.  There is also some information about conclusions also being compelling and leaving a reader with something to think about or a new idea. There are some materials that go along with the lesson that were also attached to the email you received.  All week there will continue to be writing on your book.  We are very close to the end of this unit.  When it comes time to submit it will be best in the current circumstances to attach it to a word document.  That will work best with the circumstances here.

Look at moments in the book you are writing about when the author has inserted that may seem unconnected or time shifts.  (Remember the opening scenes of "Lord of the Rings" and "Harry Potter--Goblet of Fire".)  Analyze them and focus on the author's craft.  You can revise chapters using more analytic thinking.  Write 1-2 pages today.
